IAFB Australia Churches 

(Formerly known as First Born Gospel Church)

The First Born Gospel Church, is the IAFB pioneering church in Australia and was initially registered in Sydney on 17 June 2003 with Rev. Ben Respicio serve as the Senior Minister.  It was founded by the vision of Rev. Dr. Rick Difuntorum to extend the IAFB movement in Australia. 

The first church service was held on September 2005 in Melbourne, while Pastor Ben still lives in Sydney and endure the 10-12 hours drive to Melbourne for church services. He and his whole family later decided to be relocated permanently to Melbourne on Dec 2005. 

The church continue to grow and later gives birth to three campus churches such as Point Cook Campus in Feb 2015, Epping Campus in Aug 2018, and recently South East Campus in Jan 2020. The church name was recently changed to Internation Assembly of First Born Incorporated and will adapt the name IAFB Australia Church from January 2022. 

We have approximately 200 active members (including children) and continuously growing. We are active in our community as well, participating in several spiritual and community works. During COVID-19 Pandemic, the church took the initiative to provide help and charity assistance to some International Students as they struggle due to their loss of job and income. 

The church continues to improve steadily which is now in the process to be officially recognized as religious denomination in Australia. Moreover, we were conducting leadership workshop and formulating strategic plan to adhere to the Mission and Vission of both local and international assembly. IAFB Australia is also supporting several international churches within APAC such as Cambodia, Malaysia, India, and the Philippines.

The IAFB Australia INCORPORATED

Rev. Ben Respicio is the first IAFB Australia General District Superintendent and served until 23rd February 2020. He was awarded with General Superintendent Emeritus in honor of his contribution for 15 years of service in the assembly. 

He was succeeded by Rev. Denwardson Estrada as the current General District Superintendent. Refer to above for the list of incumbent IAFB Australia officers.

IAFB Australia is also holding a Charity recognition in Australia Charity and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC) which is helpful in conducting approved charity works within our community. This help us to tapped on some government grants to assist us in many charity works in our respective communities. 

Recently, we formed the IAFB AUstralia Mission Ministry which will oversee our international affairs and mission works within the district such as India, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Philippines.  This ministry is also taking in charge of the assembly wide mission works to be establish for whole assembly.

IAFB Australia is the overarching governance for the existing three campus churches' operations (Point Cook, Epping, and South East campuses) abiding to the statement of beliefs and constitution and by-laws of the organizations. We are conducting Mid-Year and Annual General Meeting to all members to provide relevant updates to all active adult members.
